Reiki Treatment for Dogs
Reiki is a healing method that can increase and deepen the healing that results naturally from touch. Reiki is an ideal way to bring stress relief and healing to animals in a gentle, non-invasive yet powerful way. This technique aids the body in releasing stress and tension by creating deep relaxation. Because of this, Reiki promotes healing and health.

Reiki is an ancient form of energy healing for mind, body, and spirit, rediscovered from ancient Buddhist teachings for the modern world by Dr. Mikao Usui of Japan in the early 1900s. The name Reiki comes from the Japanese words "rei" (pronounced Ray) meaning spirit, and "ki" (prounced Key) meaning energy. It is usually translated as "universal life energy." Originally Reiki was used for humans, and is now being offered to animals with wonderful results.

A Reiki treatment feels like warm, gentle sunshine, which flows through your dog’s body, surrounds them and brings comfort. Reiki treats the animal’s body, emotions, mind and spirit as a whole. Reiki is powerful, yet wonderfully gentle and nurturing. It is amazing to watch how deeply relaxed your dog will become during a Reiki Session.

Reiki is never a replacement for Veterinarian care. It is however, non-invasive and supports any medical, or supplemental healing methods a client may be using. It is of growing interest to veterinarians, chiropractors, medical doctors, physiotherapists, psychotherapists, psychologists and hypnotherapists.

Your dog will benefit from a Reiki treatment if it has one or more of the following conditions:

  • Arthritis or dysplasia

  • Pre-Operative or Post-Operative surgeries(orthopedic or neurological)
